We are looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal practice based in Gamston, West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire. The successful candidate will be confident with routine and clinical procedures and will be confident with sole charge.  

Key Details:

  • Full or part-time considered
  • Hours: Mixed shifts Monday–Friday between 08.30am – 6:30pm
  • Weekends: 1:4 - Saturday 08:30am–12.00pm (Sole charge)
  • Branch work: None
  • OOH: No – provided by Vetsnow
  • Computer System: RX Works

The Practice:
They offer a bright, spacious, air-conditioned surgery that is built to industry leading standards and has state-of-the-art equipment including digital X-ray, in-house laboratory, ultrasound, BP monitor, biochemistry and full surgical facilities. This supportive and close-knit team includes 5 Vets, 4 Nurses , 1 VCA and 4 Receptionists.  The practice is situated 10 mins from the motorway and just 30 min drive from Sherwood Forest National Nature Reserve.

The Person:
We are looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Surgeon with strong skills in routine surgical and clinical procedures to manage a varied small animal case load. You will be a confident communicator with the ability to build relationships with clients and their animals. This opportunity is available on a full or part-time basis, ideally 40-hours per week although our client can be flexible for the right candidate. There is no OOH involved, but you must be comfortable managing some sole charge responsibilities and be flexible to contribute towards a 1:4 weekend rota covering Saturday AM only.
