A small animal practice in Rushden are recruiting a permanent veterinary surgeon on a full-time basis however part time hours are also considered. They require an experienced veterinary surgeon who is confident in all areas of general surgery and medical cases. However, given the support available the practice will also consider applications from new graduates. This practice offers 20-minute consultations with a full-time role of 40 hours per week and a 1:3 weekend rota and time off in lieu mind week after working a weekend.

  • Weekends: 1:3 Saturday 8.30am – 6pm and Sunday10.30am – 4pm

  • Computer System: RX Works  
  • Consultations: 20 Minutes
  • Team: 2 Vet 3 RVNs and support team

About You:

  • You must have a strong work ethic and provide an excellent high standard of clinical service
  • You will be fully confident in all areas of routine surgeries, medical cases and diagnostics
  • You will be confident with some sole charge work
  • You will have 2 years’ experience
  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff.
  • You will have previous experience of working in a busy practice with a varied case load
