We are recruiting for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a busy and growing small animal practice in Gravesend, Kent. Our client is looking to appoint an ambitious and experienced Vet on a permanent full-time contract to manage a wide variety of SA cases in a well-established and purpose-built surgery. There is also the potential for future partnership opportunities for the right candidate.

Key Details:
Permanent full-time contract
Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am-20:00pm
Weekends: 1:4 – Saturday 9:00am-18:00pm and Sunday 10:00am-16:00pm
Sole Charge: Yes
OOH: No
Computer System: RX Works 

The Practice:
This well-established SA practice provides dedicated care and services in a state of the art surgery in Gravesend, Kent. The facilities are purpose-built to industry leading standards and include Doppler blood pressure, pulse oximetry, digital X-ray, ultrasound, capnography, pulse oximetry, digital radiography, in-house laboratory and separate dog and cat wards. It is staffed by an experienced and professional team of 2 Vets, 4 RVN’s, VCA, Practice Manager and 2 Receptionists.

The practice is situated close to the A2 and benefits from free on-site parking.

The Person:
We are looking for a confident and passionate Vet who is comfortable managing both surgical and medical SA cases. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

This role is available on a permanent full-time contract. There is no OOH involved, but you must be comfortable taking sole charge responsibility during the week and weekends, and also be flexible to contribute towards a 1:2 (moving to a 1:3 later in 2018) weekend rota to ensure that the whole team maintains a great work/life balance.

Must have:

  • RCVS registered and qualified
  • Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
  • 1+ years’ experience in the United Kingdom
