We are looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join our client's forward thinking team in Newbury.
Based in the heart of the community, just off of the A34 and M4, the team of 14 colleagues pride themselves on delivering excellent client care and pet welfare standards. They see a varied caseload with some interesting case workups and have a high number of insured clients.

  • Hours: 30-40 hours per week inclusive of weekends
  • Weekends: 1:3 - Saturday 09:00am til 12:00pm
  • Sole Charge: None

About the Practice:

The surgery is spacious with separate cat and dog wards plus an isolation ward. It is purpose built to industry leading standards with state of the art equipment including ultrasound, digital x-ray, capnography, Doppler Blood Pressure, access to video endoscopy, blood machines including electrolytes in addition to their Idexx courier service.

They actively encourage certificate training and fully support further development, with a number of the team achieving certificates in their preferred interest.

The Person:

We are looking for a Vet who is keen to learn and wants to work up their cases to a high standard. Further training /certificates will be fully supported.

The role is full or part time (30-40 hours per week, inclusive of weekends) with out of hours covered by the local VetsNow.

You will bring excellent communication skills, and relish being part of a very friendly, hardworking but relaxed practice that prides itself on building relationships with patients and clients, recognising the importance of open and honest communication.

The Package:

  • Salary: £30,000-£45,000 DOE or pro-rata if part-time

Must have:

  • RCVS registered and qualified
  • Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
  • 1+ years’ post-graduate experience in the United Kingdom
