We are recruiting for a Registered Veterinary Surgeon to join an independent RCVS small animal accredited practice in Ilford, Essex on a permanent full-time contract. This family run surgery is well-established within the local community with a large loyal client base.

Key Details:

  • Permanent full-time contract
  • Salary: Competitive salary depending on experience
  • Hours: Shifts worked Monday-Friday between 8:00am-9:00pm
  • Weekends: 1:3 with 1:6 on-call – Saturday 8:00am-5:00pm and Sunday 10:00am-2:00pm
  • OOH: 1-night per week on-call
  • Sole Charge: Yes

The Practice and Team:
This RCVS and Training Practice (TP) accredited surgery in Ilford, Essex manages a broad small animal case load at first opinion level. It is staffed by a large and highly-skilled team of veterinary professionals who deliver exceptional animal and client care and promote case continuity. The facilities include spacious consultation rooms, digital X-ray, hydrotherapy, digital radiography, ultrasound and in-house IDEXX laboratory equipment. The practice is conveniently located on the East London and Essex border with direct access to major road networks and public transport links.

The Person:
We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Surgeon with good all round surgical and medical skills to manage a broad small animal case load at first opinion level. You must have excellent communication skills with a strong customer and patient focus to deliver exceptional customer service to clients and their animals. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established family run practice on a permanent full-time contract.

Must haves:

  • RCVS registered and qualified
  • Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
  • 1-4 years post-graduate experience in the United Kingdom
