The team at Ely are looking for two additional vets to join their established and friendly team. Based in a beautiful cathedral town, you have excellent transport links into Central London and Cambridge.
 

Key Details:

  • Full Time or Part Time: F/T - 40 hours per week P/T - 20-25 hours per week
  • Weekends: 1:3 on a rota basis
  • Computer System: RX Works
  • Branch work – None
  • OOH – Occasional

About them:

You will be joining a supportive and committed team made up of 3 vets, 2 RVNs, 1 student veterinary nurse and 1 animal care assistant. The team have an extremely loyal client base with a high percentage of those being insured and they see a wide variety of cases including orthopaedics. The practice benefits from visiting certified and specialist vets as well as on site physio consultations.

Person:

The partners are offering two fantastic opportunities; a full time role for an experienced vet and a part time role that could suit a more recently qualified vet. Experienced vets must be confident with all routine surgical and medical cases and support is available for anyone interested in studying towards a certificate. Less experienced vets must be confident with basic surgical procedures and comfortable with occasional sole charge responsibility. An approachable and consultative style is essential for both roles as the team take great pride in the relationships they have built with their patients, client and local community.

The full time role will be approx. 40 hours per week and the part time role between 20-25 hours per week. Both roles include a weekend rota of 1 in 3 (Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 9am-1pm). There is occasional OOHs responsibility with both roles; 1 weekday night every 2 weeks plus 1 weekend in 6 for the full time position and just 1 weekend in 6 for the part time position.

The practice is based in a standalone building in a rural area with state of the art equipment including digital X-ray, ultrasound, laser, a well-equipped dental suite including x-ray and in-house laboratory.
