We have the opportunity for a passionate Registered Veterinary Surgeon to join a brand-new venture based in Hemsworth near Wakefield, West Yorkshire on a permanent full or part-time basis. This is a progressive small animal practice dedicated to providing high-quality care to clients and patients within in the local community.

Key Details:

  • Full or part-time considered
  • Hours: Mixed shifts Monday-Friday between 8:30am-19:00pm
  • Weekends: Rota basis TBC - Saturday 09:00am-17:00pm only
  • OOH: No
  • Sole Charge: Yes – Occasional
  • Branch Work: No
  • Computer System: RX Works

About the Practice:
The practice is based in Hemsworth, West Yorkshire and provides a high-standard of care to patients and clients in an air-conditioned state of the art surgery. The facilities are purpose built to industry leading standards and include digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities.

The practice is located within a 30-minute commutable distance of Barnsley and Wakefield, and benefits from free on-site parking.

​The Person:
We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Surgeon with good general medical and surgical skills, as well as some experience in emergency surgery, to join a passionate and highly-skilled team on a permanent full or part-time basis. You must be confident with sole charge responsibilities and be willing to contribute to a weekend rota which is to be confirmed. There is no OOH associated with this role.

Must have:

  • RCVS registered and qualified
  • Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
  • 1+ years’ post-graduate experience in the United Kingdom
