This busy small animal practice based in Camborne, West Cornwall, opened in 2014 and is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly, supportive and dedicated team. They are based just minutes from the A30 bypass with onsite parking, and the local train station is within 2 miles of the practice.  

Key Details:

  • Full or part-time contract considered
  • Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-19:00pm
  • Weekends: Some on a rota basis
  • Sole Charge: Occasional

About the Practice:

This bright, spacious, air-conditioned surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including orthopaedics, spinal, patient anaesthetic monitor, capnograph and fluid pumps. They are committed to bringing affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice.

They are looking for a skilled, and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to help them deliver their ambitions. By joining this practice, they will also encourage and help you develop your own skills and expertise to meet not only their client expectations but your own ambitions.

The Person:

You will be comfortable with occasional sole charge responsibility, supported by a strong clinical team, and confident with routine surgery and medicine. You must have good communication skills and enjoy building relationships with clients, the patients and the practice team. You will be part of a motivated team of 3 Vets, 4 Nurses and 4 Receptionists.

The role is open to both full and part time applicants, and will include a weekend rota, but no OOH.

The Package:

  • Competitive salary between £30,000-£45,000 DOE or pro-rata if part-time

Must have:

  • RCVS registered and qualified
  • Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
  • 1+ years’ post-graduate experience in the United Kingdom
  • Excellent communication and client care abilities
