We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to work part-time at this hugely successful practice based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear. The client would also consider a recently qualified veterinary surgeon. 

Key Details:

  • Hours: part-time
  • Monday to Friday: 9.00am-7.00pm
  • Weekends: Saturday: 8.30am-12.30pm
  • Sole charge: None involved
  • Branch work: None involved
  • OOH: None

About them:

This practice is getting busier all the time, providing an exciting varied workload. Their current team includes 5 veterinary nurses, 3 veterinary surgeons, 1 student nurse and 3 receptionists. They are hugely supportive of each other and take pride in the strong relationships they have built and continue to build with their large, loyal client base.


The ideal candidate will need to be an enthusiastic veterinary surgeon, who is passionate about the provision of high-quality service to patients and clients. The candidate will be a key participant in the running of the dynamic and forward-thinking clinic, supporting the veterinary team. The candidate will need to be keen to continually improve their professional knowledge and experience and will be an excellent communicator, understanding that educating pet owners about their pets’ welfare is just as important as providing high quality treatment.


The practice has brilliant modern, state of the art equipment that includes an operating theatre, emergency cover, blood pressure monitors, an in-house lab, digital x-ray, dentistry and much more!


  • Salary - £35,000-£50,000

Must haves:

  • RCVS registered and qualified
