Our clients progressive small animal practice based in St Albans, Hertfordshire are looking for a registered veterinary nurse to join their friendly and welcoming team.

Key Details:

  • Full time
  • Hours Mon-Fri: 09:00am til 19:30pm
  • Weekends: 1 in 2, Saturday 09:00am til 18:00pm & Sunday 10:30am til 16:30am
  • Computer System: RX Works
  • Sole charge: None
  • OOH: None
  • Minimal reception work

About Them:

Based in the heart of the city, they are a 1st opinion practice that is into its 4th year since opening. Mainly. they see dogs, cats and rabbits with a few rodents and exotics. They have a full operating theatre, digital x-ray, ultrasound, in-house Idexx laboratory equipment, microscope and more. Around 70% of its clients are insured alongside offering immediate Veterinary Cover with Pet Plan for all animals under a year of age. This practice also boasts plenty of free parking along with bus and rail links (including a London rail link) just a short walk away.


We would love to hear from you whether you are a new graduate or an experienced RVN. You will be a great communicator and team player joining a team of 2 vets, 2 student nurses, 1 VCA, 2 receptionists and a practice manager in a small family run practice. In addition to general practice they host weekly Puppy Parties and regular fun charity events so there’s plenty for you to get involved in. They will also like you to attend and assist at local community events such as dog shows and school talks so if you enjoy a bit of variety in your role, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.


  • Salary: £20,000 - £25,000

Must haves:

  • RCVS registered and qualified
  • Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • 1 years’ post-grad UK experience
