Our clients motivated practice in Livingston is seeking an enthusiastic and experience Veterinary Nurse to join its growing surgery. They are looking for someone who is willing to give everything to the cause and has a keen desire to develop all Veterinary skills.

Your role will include carrying out nurse consultations, managing the pharmacy and lab areas, monitoring anaesthetics, preparing patients for surgeries, kennel nursing a wide variety of medical and surgical cases along with the day to day cleaning and upkeep of the practice.

Key Details:

  • Hours:  40 hours per week (Between (9am & 7pm)
  • Weekends: 1 in 4 as per rota
  • Computer System: RX Works
  • OOH – Possible

The team are looking for the ideal candidate who wants to put pets first; do what they say they will do; work well as part of the team; want to get better every day; take pride in their work and wants to have fun! You will be confident in your own skills, and enjoy the variety provided by the clients and colleagues alike. 

About them:

This bright, air-conditioned surgery is purpose built and has substantial equipment including; digital X-ray, in-house laboratory, ultrasound, dentistry facilities including separate dental x-ray, endoscopy and ECG. You will be part of a dynamic team comprising 7 vets, 10 RVNs, two SVNs, three VCAs, a practice manager & 7 receptionists dedicated to providing superb standards of client and animal care within a friendly team.

Must haves:

  • RCVS registered and qualified
