We are looking for an enthusiastic, permanent registered veterinary nurse to join a busy small animal hospital based in Barnet/Enfield.  Our client is seeking a professional, friendly and hardworking registered veterinary nurse to join their ambitious and passionate team, working within a purpose built, state-of-the-art hospital.

Key Details:

Monday to Friday: Day shift: Shifts vary from 8.30am – 4.30pm, 1.00pm– 6.00pm, 11.00am - 7.00pm or 12.00pm – 8.00pm based on a 37.5-hour week

OOH: – None – However, opportunity to work OOH at the main Hospital (if desired), which would be paid on top of salary!

Weekends: 1 in 6 weekend rotas

Computer System: RX Works

Other: They are interested in your ideas and ensure plenty of client contact during nurse clinics.  Free parking and access to excellent transport links

About them:

The team at this practice is a hard-working, driven team made up of 4 full-time vets, 4RVNs, 1 SVN, and 3 Receptionists.
By joining this practice, you will be part of a team dedicated to providing a superb standard of client and animal care. This is very much a ‘hands-on role’, therefore the ideal candidate will need to be adaptable, flexible, and willing to work at all levels.


They are very flexible on hours and can accommodate full or part-time, with weekends on a rota basis and no OOH!
The ideal candidate should possess a proficient level of general nursing skills and great customer service experience, will be cheerful, down-to-earth and enthusiastic, with a genuine interest in animal welfare.


They offer a bright, spacious, air-conditioned surgery that is built to industry leading standards.  State-of-the-art equipment including digital X-ray, ultrasound and in-house laboratory facilities, 2/3 consulting rooms, a full operating theatre, isolation units and kennelling.


Salary - £18,000 - £26,000 DOE (Pro-rata if part-time)
Career development opportunities
CPD allowance - £500 per year
Holiday – 4 weeks, plus bank holidays


Must haves:

RCVS registered and qualified
Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
1 years’ UK experience
