We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our clients well-established small animal practice in Thurrock, Essex on a permanent full-time contract. This is a great opportunity for an experienced RVN to deliver outstanding preventative SA care and treatment as part of a dedicated team of veterinary professionals.

Key Details:

  • Permanent full-time contract 40-hours per week
  • Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am-19:00pm
  • Weekends: 1:3 – Saturday 9:00am-18:00pm and Sunday 10:30am-16:30pm
  • Sole Charge: Yes
  • OOH: No
  • Computer System: RX Works

About the Practice and Team:
This SA practices provides a high-standard of animal and client care in a bright, spacious and air-conditioned surgery based in Thurrock, Essex. It is a purpose-built practice with state of the art equipment including a dedicated operating theatre, digital radiographs, ultrasound and in-house laboratory facilities with access to a full endoscopy and laparoscopy unit and a brand new 16-slice CT scanner at their partner surgery. It is staffed by a passionate and skilled team which includes 2 Vets, 1 Student Nurse, 1 Veterinary Care Assistant, 2 Receptionists and a Practice Manager. The practice is in a fantastic location with direct access to major road networks including the A13 and A282. There is also free on-site parking available.

The Person:
We are looking for a confident and dedicated RVN to deliver a high-standard of veterinary care and treatment to animals and clients. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and their animals, along with a proactive and supportive approach to nursing. The ideal candidate for this role would be an experienced RVN as there will be some sole charge responsibilities involved. This opportunity is available on a permanent full-time contract (40-hours per week) with no OOH. You must however be flexible to contribute towards a 1:3 weekend rota to ensure that the whole team maintains a good work/life balance.
