Our client is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic professional to join their team on a part time basis.
 
The surgery is based in the beautiful county of Somerset which boasts a variety of landscape, architecture and culture. Taunton itself also has much to offer from shopping, entertainment and dining perspectives and is just under 2 hours from London by rail, with the train station an easy walk from the practice.    

The Role:

The ideal candidate will have great general/medical skills and experience of emergency surgery is essential!  You will be required to work some weekends on an equal rota basis and, therefore, must be confident with sole charge.

The role is part time covering an average of 22.3 hours per week including a 1 in 3 weekend rota, and you may need to be flexible at times. Sole charge is also required at the weekends, so you must feel confident and comfortable with this.

The Person: 

Our client is looking for a Vet with experience and who is confident with all routine surgery and medical cases. This exciting opportunity would suit someone looking to take the next step in their career, or for a better work/life balance in a beautiful part of the world. CPD is strongly encouraged and fully funded.
 
Facilities:
 
As an established surgery, it is purpose built with the latest IDEXX lab machines (Catalyst One and Lasercyte), digital x-rays and colour doppler ultrasound. The surgery has a high percentage of insured pets and a visiting team of orthopaedic specialists.
 
The Package:
 
  • Salary - £30,000 -£45,000 DOE or Pro Rata if part time

Must haves:

RCVS registered and qualified
Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
Excellent communication skills
