We are looking for a permanent lead veterinary surgeon to join a hugely successful and growing practice based in Syston, Leicestershire. They are looking for an experienced well rounded registered veterinary surgeon to join their successful team within a purpose built, state of the art practice either on a full time basis.

Key Details:

  • Hours Monday to Friday: 9.00 – 7.00
  • Weekends: Saturday 9.00 – 6.00 – Sunday 10.30 – 4.30
  • Computer System: In house system
  • Sole charge: will be expected at the weekends.
  • OOH: TBC
  • Other: They are interested in your ideas and ensure plenty of client contact during nurse clinics.
  • Free parking

By joining this well established and successful practice, you will be part of a team dedicated to providing a superb standard of client and animal care. You will be joining a hard-working driven team made up of several full and part time staff. The team have built up strong relationships with their clients and therefore key to being successful in this role will be your communication skills and client care abilities.

Person:

The ideal candidate will have will have good all-round veterinary skills, be fully competent in surgery and consultations at 1st opinion practice level. The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills with a down to earth attitude.

Facilities:

They offer a bright, spacious, air-conditioned surgery that is built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities, 2/3 consulting rooms, a full operating theatre, isolation units and kennelling. They have an exotics specialist who is keen to support colleagues with a special interest in this field

Package & Benefits:

  • Salary £40,000-£60,000 DOE
  • Fees: RCVS, VDS and BVA fees paid
    BSAVA fees paid for New Graduates
  • Accommodation: Happy to offer allowances up to £6,600.00 for vets DOE
  • Vehicle or Allowance: If you take a vehicle it’s tax free and worth around £2,500.00 (petrol, insurance, MOT, tax etc are all covered); if you opt for the allowance instead, it’s £2500 in cash, but taxed
  • CPD: £1500 per annum plus 3 days off, with extra certificate funding;
  • Further Training: There are a fantastic team of in-house trainers who deliver customer service and communication training, how to handle difficult situations and giving/receiving feedback training – free of charge!

Must haves:

  • RCVS registered and qualified
  • Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • 1 years’ post-grad UK experience
