We are recruiting for a confident and experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established small animal practice based in Charlton, Greater London on a permanent full-time contract.
- Full-time contract: 4 day working week
- Hours: Monday-Friday 09:00am-20:00pm
- Weekends: 1:3 – Saturday 09:00am-18:00pm and Sunday 10:30am-16:30pm
- OOH: No
- Sole Charge: Occasional

About the Practice:
This well-established small animal practice is based in Charlton, Greater London and offers a bright and spacious working environment. The facilities are purpose built to industry leading standards and include a full operating suite, digital X-ray, dental machine, dental X-ray, ultrasound and in-house laboratory facilities. The surgery is staffed by a friendly and supportive team of 2 Registered Veterinary Surgeons, 1 Registered Veterinary Nurse, 1 Student Nurse, 3 Veterinary Care Assistants, 3 Client Care Advisors and a Practice Manager.
The practice is situated close to Charlton train station and easy access to local bus routes. There is also the benefit of free on-site parking.
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeon who is confident in all routine surgical and medical cases as the practice manages a varied caseload including some orthopaedic work. You must have excellent communication skills and client care abilities to build strong relationships with clients and patients. The successful candidate will be encouraging and supportive in mentoring colleagues to help them develop and reach their full potential.
There is no OOH involved within this role, but the successful candidate must be confident with some sole charge responsibilities and be willing to contribute to a 1:3 weekend rota with Sunday being a half day.
