A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a HVN to join a small but busy one vet two nurse practice in Lower Earley. They are looking for an enthusiastic nurse to join their vibrant team within a purpose built, state of the art practice on a full-time basis.

The practice is newly refurbished and fully equipped, situated in a lovely part of Reading with loyal and friendly clients. Lower Earley offers a wide range of complex diagnostic equipment and treatment options, including in-house laboratory, Neutering, ECG, X-ray, as well as access to MRI, endoscopy and ultrasound and CT Scanner. The practice has 2 consult rooms, 1 theatre, 1 Vet and a team of support staff including a nurse and patient care assistants.
They are looking for a clinical coach to support future student nurses at the branch, so, looking for a caring, enthusiastic and mature minded attitude and someone who prides themselves on their dedication and patience.
The role will involve all aspects of nursing as well as the day-to-day running of the practice. This position provides you with the opportunity to develop nursing clinics and use your initiative to promote new ideas; more responsibilities will form part of this role with full support being provided by the nursing team.
As a Head Veterinary Nurse you will be responsible for a variety of nursing duties as well as sharing best practice with your team and helping to support and develop the student nurses in your practice.
All head nurses are provided with dedicated support from head-office; here the stress of managing your rota, dealing with recruitment, H&S, practice standards, marketing (and much more!) is taken care of, and while there are still admin duties involved in your role, this support will allow you to spend more time managing your team and doing what you love, nursing!
