This family run Bedford surgery is looking for a forward-thinking, and RCVS accredited Veterinary Surgeon, to join their professional but friendly and fun team! This is a chance to work within a great environment for someone looking to contribute to shaping the future direction of the practice. You will have the clinical freedom to build up your own client base and work-up your own cases.

Key Details:

  • Full Time Monday – Friday : 9.00am – 19.00pm
  • Weekends: On a 1:4 rota basis
  • Computer System: RX Works
  • Branch work – None
  • OOH – None
  • Sole Charge - occasionally

About them:

You will be joining a talented and experienced team consisting of 3 vets, 4 RVNs, 2 student nurses, 1 practice manager and 3 receptionists.


Our client is open to meeting with both recently qualified vets and experienced vets looking for the next step in their career. The practice has a high level of rabbit/exotic clients therefore you will need to be comfortable with rabbits, guinea pigs and other small furries. More experienced vets will be confident with all routine surgical procedures and special interests would be welcomed. You will bring excellent communication skills, and relish being part of a very friendly and relaxed team that prides itself on being open to new ways of working.


The spacious surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including dedicated operating theatre, in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, ultrasound and dentistry facilities. Bedford is conveniently located, providing easy access to the M1 and Luton Airport and direct trains into central London in just over 30 minutes.
