We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join an animal practice based in a well-established location called Kingsway, Derby. They are looking for an enthusiastic surgeon to join their vibrant team within a purpose built, state of the art practice on a full-time basis.

Key Details:

  • Full Time Monday – Friday – 08.00 – 19.00
  • Weekends: 1:4 Saturday – 09.00 – 17.00 Sunday – 10.30 – 16.00
  • Computer System: RX Works
  • Branch work – TBC
  • OOH – None – provided by Vetsnow

About them:

This successful small animal practice is close to the A38 with good transport links to Nottingham, Burton and the Peak District. By joining this practice, you will be part of a team dedicated to providing a superb standard of client and animal care. There’s a lot of experience amongst the tight knit team so you’ll learn a great deal as well as get exposure to interesting cases with a high percentage of long term, insured clients. They are a Rabbit Friendly Practice and a silver standard ICC Cat Friendly Clinic, working regularly with Cats Protection and local dog charities.

Person:

They are looking for a surgeon who shares passion for delivering outstanding service and care for all clients and patients. You’ll need to feel comfortable working sole charge at the weekend so experience of medicine, surgery and emergency would be ideal along with demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills. You’ll have excellent customer service, communication and clinical skills and enjoy working as part of our friendly team who strive to work to the highest standards.

The modern surgery has been designed to industry leading standards, with state of the art equipment and in-house laboratory facilities, including digital x-ray, and a full in-house lab. The team is built up of 3 vets, 4 Nurses, 3 receptionists.
