We are looking for a permanent veterinary surgeon to join a hugely successful and growing practice based in Braintree, Essex. They are looking for an experienced well rounded registered veterinary surgeon to join their successful team within a purpose built, state of the art practice either on a full time basis.

Key Details:

  • Hours Monday to Friday: 9.00 – 7.00
  • Weekends: 1 in 3 weekend rota – Saturday 9.00 – 6.00 – Sunday 10.30 – 4.30
  • Computer System: RX Works
  • Sole charge: will be expected at the weekends.
  • OOH: None, Provided by Vetsnow
  • Free parking

By joining this well established and successful practice, you will be part of a team dedicated to providing a superb standard of client and animal care. You will be joining a hard-working driven team made up of 1 full time and 3part time vets, 3 RVNs, 1 student nurse, 2 veterinary care assistants and 2 receptionists. The team have built up strong relationships with their clients and therefore key to being successful in this role will be your communication skills and client care abilities.


The ideal candidate will have will have good all-round veterinary skills, be fully competent in surgery and consultations at 1st opinion practice level. The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills with a down to earth attitude.


They offer a bright, spacious, air-conditioned surgery that is built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities, 2/3 consulting rooms, a full operating theatre, isolation units and kennelling. They have an exotics specialist who is keen to support colleagues with a special interest in this field


  • Salary - £30,000-£45,000 DOE

Must haves:

  • RCVS registered and qualified
  • Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom.
