An exciting new role has come up for an experienced, full time Head Veterinary Surgeon to join this busy and successful surgery based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. 

This is an ideal opportunity if you are looking to take the next steps in your career progression or if you are looking for a new challenge, as this role will expose you to a variety of cases and give you the chance to demonstrate a keen interest in medicine, as well as work closely with the clinical team, setting the bar of high client and patient care.

Leamington Spa is a beautiful and prosperous town located in the heart of Warwickshire with great links to the M40 (5 miles) A46 (4 miles) and the M45 (11 miles). The train station is also ideally located within a half a mile from the surgery making it easily accessible. To reach other practices, Stratford Upon Avon is 13 miles and Coventry is 12 miles.

The surgery is relatively new, opening fully in September 2017, and is purpose built to industry leading standards with state of the art equipment including digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab and operating suite.

The Role:

The ideal candidate will have great general/medical skills and experience of emergency surgery is essential!  You will be required to work some weekends on an equal rota basis and, therefore, must be confident with sole charge.

The Person: 

You should be a motivated, experienced vet who wants to have a real input in the practice and help our client stay at the forefront of clinical thinking while maintaining our ethos of putting pets first. This role plays a key part within a small, friendly team and you will need to be adaptable and flexible with good general surgical and medical skills and experience in emergency surgery.
