We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our clients happy, established team in Chesterfield. They are conveniently located on the edge of the Peak District, close to Sheffield, major road networks and public transport links.

Key Details:

  • Full or part-time contract considered
  • Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-19:00pm
  • Weekends: 1:4 weekends
  • Sole Charge: TBC

About the Practice:

The Veterinary Surgeon and Partner, who qualified in South Africa 18 years ago, has been running this practice in Chesterfield for the last 10 years. His surgery currently consists of 4 Vets, 7 nurses and 7 receptionists. The Chesterfield practice has an expanding, loyal client base and the practice is purpose built with state of the art equipment including In house lab, digital x-rays, digital dental x-rays and ultrasound.

The Person:
We’re looking for a full or part time Veterinary Surgeon depending on your circumstances. The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and our client is pleased to be able to support either a new or recent graduate as well as a more experienced vet looking for a change and a better work/life balance. They pride themselves on providing the highest levels of service and offer full support in order for the successful candidate to develop their skills within the practice, including fully supporting and encouraging CPD up to certificate level for the right candidate. There will be 1 in 4 weekends but no OOH. 

The Package:

  • Competitive salary between £30,000-£45,000 DOE or pro-rata if part-time
  • Dedicated and funded CPD allowance
  • Paid professional memberships – RCVS, BVA, VDS

Must have:

  • RCVS registered and qualified
  • Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
  • 1+ years’ post-graduate experience in the United Kingdom
  • Excellent communication and client care abilities
